Tavern Anatoli Chersonissos Crete, The taverna of the 'Anatoli' apartments has been well known in Hersonissos and surroundings for years. The cozy, pure greek family atmosphere in our restaurant is second to none and our service will make you feel at ease as if in your own home! It is our goal to make your dinners with us a highlight of your whole stay.

When you book your holidays at our accommodation we will offer you the possibility of half board. By preparing a different menu for you every day, we will try to present the Greek and Cretan cuisine with all its charmes. We can always cater to special needs and diets. Whether you are a vegetarian, lactose intolerant or have a certain allergy, the Cretan kitchen has lovely dishes for you as well, we only request you to let us know in your reservation.

Our restaurant is fully family run! We cook and serve ourselves to ensure top quality, it allows us to be constantly up to speed to your wishes and needs as they are very important to us. We will not offer you difficult haute cuisine dishes, no, in our restaurant we are proud to serve you the authentic Cretan cuisine. A cuisine of olive oil, traditionally prepared meat dishes, fresh vegetable dishes and the delicious well known Greek desserts. Our tavern is equipped with a beautiful old fashioned wood-oven and grill used to prepare oven dishes as our grandparents and their grandparents did. You are more than welcome to see how it is used yourselves. Especially when you have joined our outdoor cooking excursion you will understand the respect and love we have for our dishes. Spending time together at the dinner table with family and friends is an important part of our culture and social life and therefore it deserves no less then the best!

Of course we also offer an international menu!

When the cooking is done our evenings at the tavern quite often develop into a spontaneous party of dancing and breaking plates. It is our joy to then teach our guests some of the best known Greek dances amongst which the world famous syrtaki. We sincerely hope you will join in.
